The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released official notification for recruitment of 31 sub-inspectors in the Excise & Traffic Department of Odisha. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for these posts from November 25, 2024.

OSSC Traffic and Excise SI Vacancy 2024

A total of 31 Sub Inspector (SI) posts will be filled through this recruitment process. Out of these 21 vacancies, 10 are reserved for the traffic department and 10 for the excise department. The department-wise and category-wise vacancy details are as under.

Sub Inspector of Traffic - 21 posts 

• For Men: 17 posts (UR- 10, SC- 02, ST- 05)  

• For Women: 04 posts (UR- 01, SEBC- 01. SC- 01) 

Sub Inspector of Excise - 10 posts 

• For Men: 07 posts (UR- 04, SEBC- 01, ST- 02)  

• For Women: 03 posts (UR- 02. SC- 01) 

Sub Inspector of Traffic - 21 posts

OSSC Traffic and Excise SI Education Qualification 2024

• The candidates for he OSSC Traffic SI or Excise SI exam must have completed their Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (Arts/ Commerce/ Science) or any equivalent examination from any national or state-recognized University or Institute. 

• The candidates should be able to read, write, and speak Odia language is essential.

• Sub Inspector of Traffic: Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400/- (Pay Level- 9 as per ORSP 2017) 

• Sub Inspector of  Excise: Rs. 29,200 - 92,300/- (Pay Level- 8 as per ORSP 2017)

How to Apply Online For OSSC Traffic and Excise SI Recruitment 2024?

Eligible candidates can submit their online application form for OSSC Traffic and Excise SI 2024 through the official website of OSSC from November 25, 2024, by following the below step-by-step process.

Step-1: Visit the OSSC official website, www.ossc.gov.in 

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link "Apply Online''. 

Step 3: A new page appears on the screen; click on the link One Time Registration (OTR) for Examination. 

Step 4: A new tab appears on the screen. If candidates are not registered already, register and create their profile by clicking "New Registration" and entering the valid email ID, mobile number, and other required details. 

Step-5: After completing the registration, or if already registered, the candidate has to login to their registration number, which is provided during the registration process. 

Step 6: Enter the personal details and required education qualification. 

Step 7: Upload all required documents as per the prescribed format. 

Step 8: Download and take a printout of your application form for future reference.
